About this area:
Benton
and Franklin Counties (what is known as Tri-Cities) are located in south central Washington. North of Tri-Cities abuts Grant and Adams counties. The west adjoins Yakima and Klickitat counties. The east faces Whitman, Columbia, and Walla Walla counties. The south is formed by the Columbia River and Oregon State. Tri-Cities is a dry land, averaging only seven-to-eight inches of precipitation per year in the lower elevations and ten inches or more in the higher ones. Ample sunshine is an attractive feature of the Tri-Cities.
