About this area:
Clallam County is situated in western Washington at the northern Olympic Peninsula. Roughly half of the county is surrounded by water. To its north and west lie the Strait of Juan de Fuca and Pacific Ocean. Further north across the Strait is Canada's Vancouver, British Columbia. Its only land-bound border is Jefferson County to its south and east. Roughly half of Clallam County, including most of its Pacific shoreline, is part of the Olympic National Park and/or Forest.
